Our class types explained
Little Dragons / Tots (ages 4–6). Short, lively sessions built around games, listening skills and the very first Taekwondo movements. The focus is on coordination, confidence and learning to follow instructions — with plenty of fun along the way.
Juniors (ages 7–12). Our biggest group. Children develop proper technique, learn their first patterns, work towards their next belt and burn off plenty of energy. Discipline and respect are woven through every session.
Teens & Adults (13+). A structured class covering kicking, patterns, line work, pad drills and controlled sparring, scaled to your level. Complete beginners are very welcome, and women train alongside men in every adult lesson — in a mixed class this is entirely normal and works very well, since Taekwondo rewards technique and control over size or strength.
Grading and sparring sessions. Focused sessions to prepare students for their next grading and to develop sparring timing, distance and control in a safe, supportive setting.
What a class looks like
Every lesson follows a familiar rhythm so students always know what to expect. We bow in to begin, then warm up thoroughly to protect joints and build flexibility. From there we move into technique — kicks, blocks and strikes — followed by pattern practice and, for the right groups, pad work or controlled sparring drills. We finish with a cool-down and bow out. That structure is reassuring for nervous newcomers and, for children, it is a brilliant lesson in focus and routine.
What to wear and bring
For a free trial you do not need a uniform — just loose, comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in. Bring a bottle of water, and note that Taekwondo is trained in bare feet on the matted floor. Once you join, you will get a proper dobok (uniform); our beginner's guide explains all of this in more detail.
